Bye, Janu-Worry!

Well guys! It ’s officially the last day of Janu-Worry! B.L.E.S.S!    I first want to just say that I am so freaking proud of myself for getting through the first 31 days and writing every single one of them!(minus two because I decided that I was going to do this on the 3rd!) I know this may sound like a strange and basic thing to be proud of when you’re a writer. Last year was so damaging physically, mentally, emotionally and financially that I needed so badly to step away from it all and learn how to love myself again. Which is what I have dedicated my 2021 to. This is not to say that 2021 wont be just as hard; but I am finally learning how to take care of myself in the way that I’ve spent my entire life taking care of others.      Giving myself grace.   Loving myself again.  Making healthier choices (physically and mentally.)   Being openly honest with myself more.    Being more positive about myself and how far I’ve co...

Happy Saturday! Does anyone else think that January lasted 5 whole minutes, or is that just me? My birthday is in March and I have to say, I ’m here for it! 28 going to be a fresh new year for me. I have already been making so many changes in my personal life. Health, happiness, discovery, adventure, joy, mental clarity, physical clarity, setting goals, not giving up on myself, having more honest moments, trying new things, crossing things off of my forever long to-do list, positive talk, more creativity, less bullshit, zero drama, all the tea.    Today I want to talk about personal boundaries. I am a person who struggles HARD with this. I tend to let people walk all over me and agree to do things that I don’t really want to do because I feel obligated and or just feel too guilty to say no. Which in turn makes me feel like shit. And I finally decided that I no longer have time for things or people who make me feel like shit. I am t...

Did I ever tell you about that one time I had the 'vid?

All right, we ’re gonna talk about what happens to your body AFTER you’ve had Covid19 and what lead to me to getting it!   Let’s talk about how I got it first. I am a very cautious person, I make sure I always have a mask on in public spaces, I wash and sanitize until my hands are raw and I always sanitize products that come inside. Virtually my entire family are considered, “essential employees” from RN’s to bosses at large companies to working with the public every single day. We all did the best we could to stay away from each other, including having a Zoom Christmas.    My parent’s both got Covid19 from being, “essential.” My sister works with my mom. My sister is my best friend. The day before my father was confirmed positive, I was over at his house because he was fixing my jeep for me and I went over to pick it up. He wasn’t feeling sick at all and I kissed him on the mouth, it’s such a habit. “Thank you so much for fixing my Jeep, Love you” SMOOTCH!  I...

My heart craves adventure and my soul is demanding it!

OK! I am probably late as hell to this party, but it ’s been on my list! Dalgona coffee? Have you heard of it? Have you made it? Have you had it somewhere?   I made it today and crossed it off my list! Here’s how I did it!   What you’ll need:    Instant coffee Sugar (I used stevia) Hot water A whisk A bowl And patience   Okay, so add in two tablespoons of instant coffee, two-ish tablespoons of water and 2 packets of stevia! Then begin whisking. If you feel you need more water as you go, don’t hesitate to add a little more.    Here’s what it looks like after around ten minutes of vigorous whisking.   After you’re satisfied with it’s texture (it should be fluffy and light!) you’ll need:   A cup Ice Unsweetened almond milk (Or your favorite dairy product)  Sugar free  Hershey  syrup (optional) Sugar free whip cream (optional)   I personally added 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, a few ice chips and then a...

I crushed two projects today! I ’ve been talking about getting more custom tees into my boutique and have been seriously slacking lately! So I added a new one to the list!    Needed for the project:   Bleach Paintbrush (Foam preferred!)  Tee of choice (Something at least 60% cotton so it bleaches!)   And some patience! Which I lack 97% of the time! Here is the final product! And of course I always make myself one to rep my small business!          The second project is a painting. Now I am 10/10 NOT an artist. I am by no means professional, I legit have happy little accidents (YASSSS, Bob Ross!) and 9 times out of 10 my vision for the project is completely different. I paint because I just love doing it! It’s relaxing and is another outlet allowing me to express myself creatively!    This project requires you to have: Gouache  paint Paint brushes (whatever sizes you’re comfortable with) Watercolor paper...

Trying a new recipe was on my to do list today! Cauliflower crust pot pie! It didn ’t disappoint!  Celery Bell pepper Unsalted chicken stock Cauliflower Spinach  Chicken  Mozzarella cheese Almond milk   I have been trying to make things with minimal ingredients and more natural as well! This was crazy easy to make! And I 10/10 recommend!       Dinner: Made by me!      Teeth whitening!? Are you for it? Against it? Not really sure what it would be like to be against something like this, but you know, we’re all different. My dentist wanted to charge me 600$ for a teeth bleaching and that shit gives me anxiety! I’ve heard so many horror stories about how it made their teeth hurt so bad and gave them weird sensitivity afterword! SO, I decided to invest in an at home kit that promises to be gentle, quick and avoid tooth sensitivity! The brand is Beaut. I don’t know where it hails from, I just know that it was the one that c...
