New venture!

I love baking, if you've been following along at all you know this about me. Both cooking and baking bring me so much joy but I think it's because I have a deep connection and appreciation for food. Where it comes from, how it's made and everything in between!

Now that I am venturing into new territory with non-dairy and gluten free. I have to come up with new recipes, read about new ingredients and figure out how to enjoy food again.

When you feel like food and your body are betraying you tend to push the one thing aside that you can control, which is food.

I've been neglecting eating, scared to eat and downright refusing to eat for a couple of weeks now.

Now that I'm dairy free and gluten free, I can stomach foods and I am tying hard to fall in love with it al again.

I've had to invent and reinvent myself for 2 years now multiple times and I know that's apart of life, but sometimes, sometimes you just want to break down and scream! Which, I've done multiple times, if you cared to know.

Life is hard, things are tough but one thing i've learned about myself over the course of the last two years is just how freakin' strong I actually am. You can never know, until you're put into situations where you the only option you have is to be as strong as you possibly can and pray for the best possible outcomes.

Today I am trying to fight back and get excited about food again! So I made my first ever gluten free banana bread and I'm hoping it's delicious and that I got all of my measurements correct! I know baking is finicky and gluten free baking is even more so!

I'll come back and let you all know how it went and the recipe that I used!

It's Monday and I hope that you are all having an awesome day!

XOXO
