Falling apart...

"Ocular migraine sometimes describes a migraine aura that involves your vision. Migraine auras include a variety of sensations that are often visual. Auras may also include other sensations, such as numbness, that precede or accompany a migraine. Aura can sometimes occur without a headache." - Google

I was diagnosed with chronic migraines when I was fourteen! and the journey has been long and painful.

I truly envy people who have never had one before and I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy!

I went out briefly yesterday for some stuff that I needed (I wore a mask even though this is not C19...i'm responsible!)

And within the hour that I was out, I managed to get myself an Ocular migraine.

I always know when they're coming based on one specific criteria: THE BLASTED EYE SQUIGGLES!

You see, my eyes become blurry, it's hard to see anything and it's like little bolts of electricity running through my eyes!

The pain is unbearable and I have a protocol to immediately follow once this starts happening:

  1. Immediately take 100MG of Tylenol. (2 pills!)
  2. Get myself to a dark room. or covering my eyes so it's a blackout.
  3. Take Zofran so I don't vomit.
  4. Put no crap in it 'extreme' on my forehead, temples and neck.
  5. get myself into bed with tons of blankets because there's a 100% chance I'm freezing cold.
  6. Do my damndest to fall asleep because that's the only thing that truly works.
I'm still struggling today, I still have a cold, i'm a hot mess! Just trying to get by one day at a time.

    Send prayers!

XOXO
