Big things hidden underneath life lessons...

    I did a BIG thing. Like biggest thing i’ve ever done for two people! 

 

    My parents are always hard to shop for and this year I feel I’ve gotten them the perfect gift! 

 

    Now, for fear that someone in the family might reading this, I’m not going to spill the beans quite yet! 

 

    Being the youngest sibling has some downfalls, nobody really takes you that serious and for some reason everyone is under the impression that I have no money. 

 

    Which is only partially true. 

 

    I’m kid 4/4 plus one very welcomed adopted making us a crew of 5! 

 

    I am the only child of that 4 that chose an unconventional path. 

 

    I make things to make money, I follow my heart and let my spirit guide me. I don’t have super steady income ( I do odd jobs and create to pay my bills) so money is never overflowing. But I do okay. I never miss a birthday, Christmas is always abundant and throughout the year I am always, always trying to do things for people to show them that I care. 

 

    Is any of that usually reversed back on me? No. Do I so things for people so they’ll do things for me back? Also no. 

 

    But sometimes, I get so sick of being the, “free spirited sister” who doesn’t really have much.

 

    Aside from a house (the housing market is ridiculous right now, crash already for me damn-it!) I have everything I need. 

 

    Eventually I’d love to settle down into my dream job (whatever that might be) and get married, adopt some kiddos or by the grace of God have some of my own too! But for right now, I am living life the best way that I can! On my own terms.

  Listen, I’m in my cookie era! Here’s what I did! I made a double batch, scooped them and placed them on parchment paper to keep them separated. Placed them in freezer bags and then froze the second batch. That way I have chemical free cookies ready to take out of the freezer whenever I want and bake fresh! This way I can bake 2 if I want instead of making up a whole batch.

My Manic...

     I have been stressing myself out lately about perfection. I can’t share anything I do unless I know it’s perfect. It’s probably going to give me an ulcer.       I decided today that I didn’t need perfection.      It’s not about that. I mean I’ve always known that but I am so unbelievably hard on myself that I allowed those feelings to creep in and attack my inner peace!        I haven’t felt that manic in about a year! So it was definitely something that I had to take care of right away! I almost forgot that my manic was an emotional response to stress.          I was being unappreciative of my own strengths, too hard on my personal weaknesses and turning a blind eye to my mental state.       I called it quits yesterday and decided to do absolutely nothing all day to let my brain rest and recover from my own abuse. Ditch Kitty!

  It’s been awhile since I’ve had an update on my little rescued ditch kitty! Sirius is thriving! he came to me at 1.5 pounds soaking wet and he’s up to 7.5 pounds now! Which is perfectly in line for his age! He’s all up to date on his vaccinations and he doesn’t have to go back for another year! (Unless he needs to!) His personality can only be described as wildly unpredictable and entertaining! His favorite things are wet food, cucumbers and pull tabs from my almond milk and playing nonstop!
