Failure turned decent!
Me thinking that I was going to make healthy zucchini donuts today....
Me getting everything prepped and then deciding the batter needed just a smidge more cinnamon.
Me reaching for the organic cinnamon.....
Me sprinkling, one wrist flick....
Me....smelling.....GARLIC...
ME WITH THE ORGANIC GARLIC IN MY HAND....
ME, PANICKING!
ME ASKING MY SISTER WHAT THE HELL TO DO! (Which is HILARIOUS if you know her, because she knows nothing about baking or cooking!)
What I did:
Added more (confirmed) cinnamon, nutmeg and a wee bit of sugar hoping that the sweetness would combat the weird garlic flavor I had just added to my damn doughnut mix!
Then I popped them into the pan and prayed.
35 minutes later they came out and I tried one immediately, burning my tongue in the process and by some grace of GOD, they taste GREAT!
They smell like garlic which is off putting as hell but they don’t taste like it at all!
SO, it’s really a fail turned positive!
Tip of the day: Check your seasonings before going all willy-nilly with them! Especially when they’re right next to each other in the spice cabinet!
