Busy day!

  

 

 

    AHHH! I’ve been SO busy today! Tomorrow we’re going to Michigan’s Adventure! So I’ve been in full prep mode for that! It’s a whole outing and there will be FIFTEEN people in our clan! Yeah, that’s a whole trip with a whole lot of people! 

 

    Tomorrow morning I’m picking up protein shakes for everyone who is riding in my car! Soooo, that means I have to be up a little earlier. I don’t do mornings! I will lay in bed until noon if I had a choice! (I wish I were kidding!)

 

 

    Anyway, today! I STARTED my dresser project! It’s been a WHOLE process! 

 

  • Removing the hardware *the easy part*
  • Cleaning it thoroughly was tedious and annoying. Because it had a decade of weird shit on it. (Don’t ask!)
  • Sanding it (BIIIIIIITCCHHHHHH!) 
  • Cleaning it AGAIN...
  • Priming layer. 

  • Dry time... like freakin' watching grass grow. 

  • Second coat

 

    Now currently drying! Here's to NOT having to watch this coat dry! 

 

    I just showered! YAY for being clean! 

 

    Now it’s off to pack my bag for tomorrow and get some shuteye! 6am is going to come quick! 

 

    I hope you all have a great weekend! I will be updating THIS post with before and after with two coats! And then later with the finished product!

  Listen, I’m in my cookie era! Here’s what I did! I made a double batch, scooped them and placed them on parchment paper to keep them separated. Placed them in freezer bags and then froze the second batch. That way I have chemical free cookies ready to take out of the freezer whenever I want and bake fresh! This way I can bake 2 if I want instead of making up a whole batch.

My Manic...

     I have been stressing myself out lately about perfection. I can’t share anything I do unless I know it’s perfect. It’s probably going to give me an ulcer.       I decided today that I didn’t need perfection.      It’s not about that. I mean I’ve always known that but I am so unbelievably hard on myself that I allowed those feelings to creep in and attack my inner peace!        I haven’t felt that manic in about a year! So it was definitely something that I had to take care of right away! I almost forgot that my manic was an emotional response to stress.          I was being unappreciative of my own strengths, too hard on my personal weaknesses and turning a blind eye to my mental state.       I called it quits yesterday and decided to do absolutely nothing all day to let my brain rest and recover from my own abuse. Ditch Kitty!

  It’s been awhile since I’ve had an update on my little rescued ditch kitty! Sirius is thriving! he came to me at 1.5 pounds soaking wet and he’s up to 7.5 pounds now! Which is perfectly in line for his age! He’s all up to date on his vaccinations and he doesn’t have to go back for another year! (Unless he needs to!) His personality can only be described as wildly unpredictable and entertaining! His favorite things are wet food, cucumbers and pull tabs from my almond milk and playing nonstop!
