In Memory and in Honor!
It’s Memorial Day! It’s not a happy day. It’s a day to HONOR and REMEMBER all the sacrifices that were made for us.
I am incredibly thankful and aware of how lucky I am to be alive in this time. The world is scary and crazy and it seems to only be getting scarier and crazier by the day but between all of that, I am mindful of the facts. And the fact is, we need to be thankful every single day for what this nation offers to us.
Men and Women fought for this freedom, died for this freedom and I do not intend on taking it for granted. So I hope you always remember that freedom always comes at a cost; soul for soul.
I know I am blessed, which is why I committed this year to myself! It might sound selfish to anyone just tuning in but read down a little farther in the blog. I am NOT the same human I was one year ago. My mindset completely shifted and when the brain fog lifted from MANY years of mental and physical abuse both from myself and others. I used to let myself be berated and discarded like yesterdays trash.
This year I have:
- Loved myself harder
- Smiled more often
- Did more for myself
- Went to a therapist
- Healed my body
- Healed my mind
- Learned to say no when it’s necessary
- Lost weight
- Gained self confidence
- Became more mindful
- Grown mentally and physically
- Learned that taking breaks isn’t a form of weakness
- I learned that I am STRONG
- Learned that I am WORTHY
There probably more that I’m forgetting, but in the meantime, I am SO grateful for my system reboot! My new outlook on life and all of the HARD work I’ve put into myself. Today, I am grateful for my strength!
I hope everyone has had a blessed and meaningful Monday!
XOXO
