Unapologetically still rocking my side part and skinny jeans!

    


    
    It’s been awhile since I’ve updated you all on my weight loss journey! I am still at it and now instead of eating junk food, I am just drawing it! Because it’s beautiful and so much fun to illustrate! Which is my focus right now, illustrations! Anyways, every time I post my weight loss updates on any of my social media outlets, someone without hesitation always asks me for my best advice when it comes to weight loss and staying focused I tell them this:
 

 

    “Never giving up is my top piece of advice. A lot of people throw in the towel if they’ve had bad days thinking that they can’t do it anymore or that they’ve ruined everything. You can only ruin the things you don’t finish and the last I checked, there isn’t a limit on how many times you can get knocked down and get back up again! Resilience!” 

 

    They’re always looking for my, “secrets” and advice! I wish I had secrets! But the truth is, it’s a mindset! You have to WANT to change your life! You have to WANT a lifestyle change! You have to WANT to WANT it! When I started, I was desperate for change and after the first month, I’d already seen so many changes in myself that there was absolutely no way that I could ever go back! So I made the decision that the lifestyle change is what I NEEDED and WANTED! So here I am 10 months later! 

 

 

 

 

    Today I am extremely grateful for my new outlook on life! The energy I have, my mental clarity, my healthier lifestyle, my health! I am not saying there haven’t been bumps in the road, because there definitely has been, but It’s been such a rewarding journey! One that I wouldn’t take back or trade for anything! 

 

    I am in the process of getting all my clothes around for vacation which includes buying new because lets be real, none of my old clothes fit me and I don’t want to wear hoodies and jeans to Florida, I’ll die of a heat stroke! That’s old Shelby shit! 

 

    
Do you have any tips and tricks when it comes to clothes shopping? Because I have no clue where to start! This is all new for me! Because my former wardrobe was literally stretchy pants and hoodies, mostly black. (Don’t let me fool you, I still LOVE black, that runs DEEP!) 



Here are my top ten reflections of the day!


The before picture was the literal day I started this program! 🤯 

Here’s 10 things I want to say: 

1. I feel incredible, physically and mentally! 🧠 

2. I don’t want to be, “skinny” I want to be healthy!🌱

3. I am 10 months into my journey! 🖐🏼🖐🏼

4. I’m not on this planet 🌎 to copy a single person! I don’t need gimmicks or to steal others ideas! 💡 

5. I’m unapologetically still rocking my side part and skinny jeans!👖 

6. I’m unbelievably proud of myself for how far I’ve come! 💕

7. I still have a long way to go until I’m completely satisfied! But, I’m nitpicking! 🤷🏻‍♀️

8. Some will have you believing that this program is a quick fix, it is NOT! It’s a tool to help you learn a complete LIFESTYLE change. There are no quick fixes when it comes to weight loss and management! 👍🏼

9. You have to WANT to change your habits for you to be successful. Results won’t come to those who don’t chase after them! 💪🏼

10. It’s still hard to put myself out here like this, even after ten months of showing my most vulnerable side. But I’m still showing up because I know it’s gonna keep driving me to keep pushing myself! 💪🏼💕😍☺️
