30 BEFORE 30

There’s so much I want to accomplish before I’m 30, does anyone else give themselves deadlines like this? I can’t stop or control the aging process but I can control what happens in that time-frame. So another listicle today, but it’s going to be an interesting one! Have you ever sat down and thought about what you’d like to have accomplished by the time you’re a certain age? I’ll be 28 in March and I’ve never been more motivated to get myself out there and start actually living and not just existing. Here’s to crossing off goals and loving the air around me again!

30 BEFORE 30: (In no order of importance)

1. I want to have lost 150 pounds. (this is sort of a cheat, I know! I am already more than 1/2 way there!)

2. Go back to college to further my education.

3. I want to be living somewhere new; new city? New town? New state?

4. Keep a plant alive longer than a month.

5. I’d like to have 3-5 publications.

6. Build a garden so I can grow my own veggies.

7. Go to a drive in movie.

8. Be financially stable.

9. Learn how to play the piano (properly.)

10. Have a place to call home.

11. I want send a message in a bottle.

12. I want to go on a mask-free vacation.

13. Drive a race car.

14. Create a meaningful art-piece.

15. Learn to make macaroons.

16. Read at least 30 NEW books. (I tend to go back to old favorites)

17. Send snail mail with handwritten letters each month. (It’s old school and I love it!)

18. Learn self-defense.

19. Learn a new language.

20. Keep my anxiety in check.

21. Visit a new country.

22. Pick up my camera again take more pictures.

23. Visit a festival.

24. Commit to 24 hours of silence and meditation.

25. Land my dream job.

26. See a Broadway show.

27. Fall in love.

28. Commit to regular self care.

29. Practice minimalism everyday.

30. Plan a bangin’ 30th birthday trip and actually go.

Well, there you have it! Those are my 30 before 30! They’re subject to change because as we’ve talked about here before, we all change. Time and circumstances make it impossible for things to always remain the same. If we aren’t changing then we aren't growing and what a waste that would be.

I have always compared myself to others and used their measuring sticks when it came to figuring out, “where I should be in life.” Remember that you’ll achieve things in your own time and what others have/had at your age is not always, if ever meant for you at that time too. Each step you take gets you closer to what’s IS meant for you and when it’s time, you’ll know.

 XOXO
