August 1st:

    With the help of my niece, Kaydance and my sister Kayla this little guy was rescued from a ditch about a month ago! When we brought him home he weighed maybe a pound soaking wet, had fleas and was terrified!

    I’m happy to report he’s since, ditched the fleas, gained almost 3 pounds, lives a life of complete luxury and had his first vet appointment today and got a clean bill of health!
    His favorite toy is a toilet paper roll despite having actual toys, he loves his space backpack designed for walks and he surprisingly doesn’t despise the bath!
    Welcome to the family, Sirius! ✨
    (Also, yep! It’s a Harry Potter referenced name! He’s padfoot, AKA, Sirius Black!) 🤓 #nerdygirlproblems

    He DID have ear mites and hookworms (BARF) which the vet said was literally SO common among kittens and considering he was found in a ditch, not surprising at all!

    She also said considering we found him in a ditch, she was surprised at how healthy he IS! So we're counting that as a blessing! AND 200 bucks later, he got all his testing out of the way, started his vaccinations and got some much needed treatment for his wormies and ear mites!

Placed them in freezer bags and then froze the second batch. That way I have chemical free cookies ready to take out of the freezer whenever I want and bake fresh! My Manic...

     I have been stressing myself out lately about perfection. I can’t share anything I do unless I know it’s perfect. It’s probably going to give me an ulcer.       I decided today that I didn’t need perfection.      It’s not about that. I mean I’ve always known that but I am so unbelievably hard on myself that I allowed those feelings to creep in and attack my inner peace!        I haven’t felt that manic in about a year! So it was definitely something that I had to take care of right away! I almost forgot that my manic was an emotional response to stress.          I was being unappreciative of my own strengths, too hard on my personal weaknesses and turning a blind eye to my mental state.       I called it quits yesterday and decided to do absolutely nothing all day to let my brain rest and recover from my own abuse. Ditch Kitty!

  It’s been awhile since I’ve had an update on my little rescued ditch kitty! Sirius is thriving! he came to me at 1.5 pounds soaking wet and he’s up to 7.5 pounds now! Which is perfectly in line for his age! He’s all up to date on his vaccinations and he doesn’t have to go back for another year! (Unless he needs to!) His personality can only be described as wildly unpredictable and entertaining! His favorite things are wet food, cucumbers and pull tabs from my almond milk and playing nonstop!
