Two appointments, one day...

Appointment one: Podiatrist! 

    I had to have a checkup on my toe that I had a toenail removal on. I was told i'm a model toe recovery patient! Haha, whatever that's supposed to mean! And then I got fit for my custom orthotics! Which I am SO excited about! I can't wait to walk around and not feel like i'm a granny about to fall apart from my flat ass feet! 



Second appointment: The regular Doctor!

    I hadn't been in a really long time, lack of insurance and bad anxiety will do that to you. But here's how it went:

    I'm being sent to a specialist (Gastroenterologist) To get a camera up the booty and down the throat to check for Gerd, celiacs and lactose intolerances and problems with my bowels. 

    I also need to get some blood work done to gauge my levels: Comprehensive Metabolic panel, thyroid screen, vitamin d 25 hydroxy, vitamin b12 and hemoglobin A1c 

    I came home with three prescriptions and feeling a little more optimistic that this new doctor is actually going to help me. She makes me feel like i'm not going to have to live my life in the dark anymore. 

    I'm exhausted, I hope that you've all had a fantastic day!

  Listen, I’m in my cookie era! Here’s what I did! I made a double batch, scooped them and placed them on parchment paper to keep them separated. Placed them in freezer bags and then froze the second batch. That way I have chemical free cookies ready to take out of the freezer whenever I want and bake fresh! This way I can bake 2 if I want instead of making up a whole batch.

My Manic...

     I have been stressing myself out lately about perfection. I can’t share anything I do unless I know it’s perfect. It’s probably going to give me an ulcer.       I decided today that I didn’t need perfection.      It’s not about that. I mean I’ve always known that but I am so unbelievably hard on myself that I allowed those feelings to creep in and attack my inner peace!        I haven’t felt that manic in about a year! So it was definitely something that I had to take care of right away! I almost forgot that my manic was an emotional response to stress.          I was being unappreciative of my own strengths, too hard on my personal weaknesses and turning a blind eye to my mental state.       I called it quits yesterday and decided to do absolutely nothing all day to let my brain rest and recover from my own abuse. Ditch Kitty!

  It’s been awhile since I’ve had an update on my little rescued ditch kitty! Sirius is thriving! he came to me at 1.5 pounds soaking wet and he’s up to 7.5 pounds now! Which is perfectly in line for his age! He’s all up to date on his vaccinations and he doesn’t have to go back for another year! (Unless he needs to!) His personality can only be described as wildly unpredictable and entertaining! His favorite things are wet food, cucumbers and pull tabs from my almond milk and playing nonstop!
