Turmeric, orange, ginger, carrot and black pepper...
I'm aware I forgot an R in turmeric. don't come at me, I feel like 💩.
Here are my symptoms:
- dry cough
- bilateral ear aches
- sneezing
- watering itchy eyes
- voice going in and out
- ripping headache
So I took to cold medicine obviously, I'm not an animal. And before you come at me, no it's not C19, I tested to be sure and it was negative.
Here's the juice recipe and what it's supposed to do for you!
- fresh ginger
- fresh or powdered turmeric
- black pepper
- honey
- oranges
- carrots
- sweetener of choice
- water
Okay, I didn't measure any of this, I just let the spirits of my ancestors say, "WHHOOOO child, that's enough..."
Roughly, here's the measurements:
- ginger: 2 tablespoons
- turmeric: 2 tablespoons
- black pepper: 1 tablespoon
- honey: 2-3 tablespoons
- oranges: I used 6 cuties
- carrots: like 20-30 baby carrots
- stevia: 1 tablespoon
- water: 3/4 of a bottle
I tossed it all in my ninja blender and blended it to death. Then took it out and ran it through some really tightly woven cloth (not cheese cloth, I ran out!)
Now I am taking a shot of this everyday (just in a regular old shot glass) and seeing what the results are!
It doesn't taste great, but it's not the worst thing I've ever had!
Here's what it says it'll help with:
- anti-inflammation
- immune bootsting
- vitamin A, B and E
- relieves congestion
- great for complexion
- black pepper increases the bioavailability of turmeric, by, apparently, as much as 2000%! What this means is that if you add a little black pepper everytime you consume turmeric, you’ll be increasing the absorption of the turmeric and all its goodness by your body!
And I'm sure lots of other things, but as of right now, I am only wanting to improve my cold symptoms!
I'll check back in, in a week when the juice I made is gone or I have to make more!
XOXO
