The Creative Process!

    Did some creating in honor of my birthday month! I couldn’t decide if I liked it more with or without the candles so I’ll just include both! I need to make more time to create because it’s something that I truly love doing! The whole creative process is what I love. The reasoning behind the piece! Whether it’s a writing piece or an art piece, there is a method to my madness and sometimes it isn’t clear what that method is until I finish! 

 

 

 

    Have you ever stopped to think about what your creative process is? It’s definitely a PROCESS! I am not a girl who just knows what direction she’s heading until she reaches the destination. And even then, sometimes I don’t know that I’ve landed until I go to add something else and realize it’s too much. It takes me time to plan out what I want and even then, sometimes it takes me WEEKS to act on it. I have ideas all the time but those ideas need planning and those plans need plans and then by the time I actually get around to it, It’s several weeks or months later. (My toxic trait?!) 

 

    So that’s what I mean when I say that it’s a process! 

 

    Anyways, I am continually working on new stuff! Whether I finish it right away or not, sometimes I’ll pick up a piece from a year ago and finally commit to finishing it! Or I’ll add one thing and be like, “yeah the sparks just aren’t there” and I’ll put it back down.

 

 

    I never knew that my process was this deep and long until I thumbed through my body of work that’s finished and my body of work that’s still in the works.... oy vey! I am a hot mess express! 

 

    Anyways, I am going to go contemplate starting new projects while my old projects sit somewhere dusty and alone screaming for some attention...

 

 

    Thinking, thinking, thinking!
