Sometimes our stop-doing list needs to be bigger than our to-do list!

Day three, not running out of steam yet! It’s only a matter of time though until I find something new I want to try. Since lock-down last year, I started a list of things that I was interested in and day by day, week by week I began to cross off things that scared me! Some were a hit and so much fun, others not so much! But I have learned so much abut myself in the process and we can’t be interested in everything, right? Some of them were physical things and others were just specific to me! Here’s my list thus far:

Key:

DONE

1. Buy a sewing machine to help with the mask crisis!

2. Sing in front of an actual audience!

3. Paint what I’m feeling and not what I think would just be, “pretty!”

4. Write an honest review about a product I bought and absolutely hate!

5. Dance like nobody is watching, because who gives a shit if they are? (this one never ends.)

6. Buy a punching bag and use it!

7. Lose weight because I’m worth it! 90lbs and counting!

8. Listen to more music, get out of your comfort zone (this one never ends either!)

9. Tell a stranger that you love them because everyone deserves to be loved.

10. Do your makeup more.. You WANT to learn how to do that highlighting shit everyone's talking about!

11. Understand you don’t need makeup to feel beautiful.

12. Cut some mad inches of hair off my head (7 years is a long time to grow your hair with no hair cuts!)

13. Say goodbye to your blonde hair, dye it dark because you’ve been wanting to for such a long time but are too scared to change.

14. Embrace who you are and stop letting others tell you who to be, because the me that I am is GREAT!

15. Use that goddamn hand lotion. Your hands are dry and hurt, it’s lotion, quit being grossed out by the way it feels!

16. Buy an XBOX and game like everyone else on the planet.

17. Act your age, you’re 27 not 90! It’s okay to hang onto some of your childish ways, you’ve got your entire life to be “grown."

And last for now, but not least:

18. Don’t give up your dream of having a family, just because some doctor told you that you couldn’t have children. You were born to be a mother.

Some of those probably seem so arbitrary to you! They made my list and I intend on finishing them all and continually adding more! It’s so hard for me to remember sometimes that if we aren’t stepping out of our own way, we’ll never grow and learn to be the people we were meant to be!

What’s something on your list? Do you have a list? Have I inspired you to make a list? Let me know some of your ideas, because I’m always looking for ways to do more!

XOXO
